The Master of Science in Electrical Engineering - Wireless Health Technology (MSEE-WHT) is a new program offered by the University of Southern California that will transform approaches to treatment, diagnosis, and patient monitoring in the world of healthcare. A partnership between the Keck School of Medicine and the Viterbi School of Engineering, this program provides students with the knowledge necessary to become innovators in applying wireless technology to meet the most pressing needs of the healthcare industry.
Welcome to the USC Wireless Health Technology Masters Program. We are excited to offer a groundbreaking program that prepares its students to serve as a transformative force in health and healthcare. By equipping students with the technical expertise needed to develop new technologies for use in healthcare settings and monitoring of personal health information, they gain specialization that prepares them to emerge as leaders in wireless technology. Beyond merely understanding the technical capacity of the field for growth and innovation, students gain experience in actual healthcare and research settings, which provides invaluable insight into how healthcare professionals work and communicate, as well as a unique firsthand look into tools they need that do not yet exist. By placing students on the frontlines of healthcare interactions, they are better able to respond to the needs of the industry with innovative solutions and a new competence in medical knowledge. The partnership between our two schools represents the future of health and technology, as uniting the best minds in both disciplines will lead to the most beneficial solutions for mankind. We look forward to working with students with big ideas and the dedication to make these ideas reality.
