Student Affairs

The Ming Hsieh Department of Electrical Engineering is uniquely organized to provide students with easy access to 3 Academic Advisors, Monday-Friday (9-12 p.m. and 1-5:00 p.m.) located in EEB 102, via studentinfo@ee.usc.edu or (213) 740-4447. The Advisors provide information regarding courses, degree programs, campus resources and university policies.  EE staff also includes Student Advisor Assistants, who can also help EE students in various capacities.

In EE, students are not assigned a specific advisor; however, they may meet with any available advisors during regular business hours in EEB 102.  Students are encouraged to seek out advising any time they have questions or need assistance.

Our Advisors maintain regular contact with students via email to disseminate information as promptly as possible.  Academic advising is an ongoing educational process that connects students to the university.  Our Advisors understand that good advising is not limited just to jregistration or course selection, so they also provide academic counseling and direct students to resources that enable successful careers and personal choices.

The EE Academic Advisors are members of the National Academic Advising Association and regularly attend conferences and webinars to improve your career at USC.
