Fellows serve as leaders, advisors and mentors to fellow faculty and students both within and beyond their areas of expertise. They organize cross-disciplinary research activities with common interests and expertise, provide individual mentoring on a range of topics, and direct CER Research Salons and training workshops organized by the USC Office of Research.
Alexander (Sandy) Sawchuk, chair of the Ming Hsieh Electrical Engineering Department-Systems said: "Our department joins me in congratulating Ubli Mitra for her selection as 2010-2011 Fellow at USC Center for Excellence in Research (CER).
