Rahul Jain Wins Best Paper Award

Rahul Jain and co-author Sandeep Juneja recently won a Best Paper Award at the Fourth International Conference on Performance Evaluation Methodologies and Tools - ValueTools 2009. Their winning paper is entitled "The Concert/Cafeteria Queueing Problem: A Game of Arrivals." The ValueTools Conference is a very highly selective and a premier conference of the Association of Computing Machinery (ACM) Sigmetrics group, and focuses on performance evaluation, queueing and network theory.

Ming Hsieh EE Systems Chair Alexander A. (Sandy) Sawchuk said, "Our EE faculty join with me in congratulating Rahul Jain for receiving the Best Paper Award at the ValueTools 2009 Conference. This is an excellent recognition of his research accomplishments by his technical peers."
