Gandhi Puvvada has been promoted to Professor of Engineering Practice in the Department of Electrical Engineering. This newly-established title recognizes quality, experience and leadership in teaching, including curriculum and laboratory development.
Alexander Sawchuk, Chair of Electrical Engineering Systems, described his contributions: "Gandhi has enriched several of our Computer Engineering (CENG) undergraduate courses by adding substantial design content. He creates excitement and enthusiasm for learning among our students by challenging them with interesting design problems, actively involving them in the design process, and demonstrating that they can apply what they have learned. His courses are very rigorous yet very rewarding for our undergraduates. His graduate course covers design and system implementation in field-programmable gate arrays (FPGAs), and it is widely appreciated by our CENG graduate students.
This promotion recognizes the contribution of our full-time teaching faculty, and is a commitment by the Viterbi School of Engineering to enriching the learning experience for all students."
