Sundeep Pattem Awarded Best Paper at ACM/IEEE International Symposium

Sundeep Pattem, a Ph.D. student in the Department of Electrical Engineering-Systems at USC, has won a prestigious best paper award at the ACM/IEEE International Symposium on Information Processing in Sensor Networks (IPSN), held on April 26-27, 2004 in Berkeley California. This honor was shared by only 3 papers (out of a total of 50 accepted papers from 145 submissions) at this conference, a prominent one in the area of sensor networks. Sundeep received the award for a paper co-authored with Prof. Bhaskar Krishnamachari and Prof. Ramesh Govindan, titled "The Impact of Spatial Correlation on Routing with Compression in Wireless Sensor Networks." Sundeep is advised by Prof.
Krishnamachari and is a graduate research assistant in the Autonomous Networks Research Group.
