Gandhi Puvvada Wins the Provost's Prize for Teaching with Technology

Provost Nikias presents Prof. Puvvada with the award
Gandhi Puvvada, Professor of Engineering Practice in the Viterbi School's Ming Hsieh Department of Electrical Engineering, won the Provost's Prize for Teaching with Technology, presented at the First Annual USC Teaching with Technology Conference held on May 1.

Gandhi won this award for the development of novel methods for teaching using tablet PCs. He has made instructional videos that describe the methods. All three videos are posted at:

Alexander Sawchuk, Systems Chair of the Ming Hsieh EE Department said: "Prof. Puvvada teaches several undergraduate and graduate courses in digital systems and computer engineering, and has added substantial design content to all of them. The design exercises together with the associated webcasts introducing the exercises enrich the learning experience for students in all these classes.
