Hossein Hashemi, Ph.D. - Assistant Professor

Research Interests:

The study of the fundamentals of communication circuits and systems, along with integrated implementations, constitutes the core of my research. Besides high-speed and high-frequency integrated circuits, I am also interested in bio-inspired and bio-medical electronics.

Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, 2003, Caltech, Pasadena, CA.

Hossein Hashemi received the B.S. and M.S. degrees in electronics engineering from Sharif University of Technology, Tehran, Iran in 1997 and 1999, respectively, and the M.S. and Ph.D. in electrical engineering from the California Institute of Technology (Caltech), Pasadena, CA in 2001 and 2003, respectively.

He received Caltech engineering and applied science division fellowship award in 1999, Walker von Brimer Foundation Outstanding Accomplishment Award in 2000, Analog Devices Outstanding Student Designer Award in 2001, Intel Foundation Graduate Fellowship Award in 2002 and the Young Scholar Award from Association of Professors and Scholars of Iranian Heritage (APISH) in 2003.
