Igor Devetak received his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Cornell University in 2002. Before coming to USC in January 2005 he completed a post-doctoral research appointment at IBM'sT.J. Watson Research Center. He works in the area of quantum information theory, and is especially interestd in quantum Shannon theory, the aymptotic theory of quantum communication.
