Complete and submit the USC online graduate application (application fee required). Be sure to complete the electrical engineering supplemental questions at the end of the application.
The following documents can be submitted directly through the online application system:
• Résumé
• Letters of recommendation
• Statement of purpose
• Hard copies of academic records required (see below) Note: The Department of Electrical Engineering no longer accepts hard copies of letters, statements or resumes. Please plan to submit everything online.

Arrange to have the following sent to the USC Office of Admission as a hard copy:
• Official grade transcripts, and official translations if they are not in English.
• GRE scores (official scores must be sent through ETS to the University of Southern California, ETS code 4852)
• TOEFL scores or IELTS scores, if applicable
• International applicants: Proof of financial support

*To receive full consideration for financial aid, you must submit your application by December 1. However, we will accept applications as late as January 1.
Spring Admission
If you are interested in beginning the PhD program in Spring semester (January), please submit your application by October 1. Please be aware, however, that limited financial awards and assistantships are available mid-year.
