Assistant, Associate, and Full Professor of Electrical Engineering

The Ming Hsieh Department of Electrical Engineering (http://ee.usc.edu) of the USC Viterbi School of Engineering (http://viterbi.usc.edu) seeks outstanding faculty candidates for positions as tenure-track assistant professor, tenured associate professor or tenured professor. Specific areas of interest include:

1. Emerging signal processing techniques and interdisciplinary applications such as biomedical sciences and informatics, medical systems, sensor networks, data mining, and complex system analysis.

2. VLSI systems, nanosystems or VLSI/nano systems computer-aided design (CAD) for emerging technologies, and applications such as complex cyber-physical systems, embedded systems, bio-inspired systems, and other large-scale complex systems.

3. Experimental quantum electronics, experimental or theoretical nanoscience and technology, specifically: quantum electronic devices and components, and novel devices based on nanoscience and nanotechnology.

4. Experimental power electronics and modern energy devices. We seek a senior faculty member to initiate and lead fundamental experimental research on power and/or energy devices and systems, applying physics to the development of new and innovative technologies. This might include efficient sensors for monitoring electric power grids, advanced high-power electronics, or novel power generation, storage and transmission.
